    Well I have to say that I am surprised I not only read to the end of this book and actually enjoyed it in some weird way as I hated I repeat HATED the main character Penny is completely utterly annoyingly like people I cannot stand to be around So illogical the way she treats David at the start of the story over something he said when she got drunk and acted ridiculous and the whole running away with a major Drug dealer just wanted to make me scream shake her or at the very least stop reading Hence the surprise that I didn't and got to the endApart from Penny the rest of the writing was rather good although I don't uite buy into this odd mix of chic lit and crime thriller David's story was the compelling although again not sure I can completely accept it all but if gave a good motive for everything else that was happeningUnfortunately a better editor might have spotted the flaws that bumped the reader out of the action for some reason my edition had no chapter 12 There's also an odd scene where Penny is playing video games with David then leaves him playing with Smithy while she goes into her office to work Smithy comes in a while later and they have a big discussion about how long it is since David last came in HuhBut overall I kind of did like this and would pick up other books by this author that I come across even if its just to see whether the author has got better ;

    The book was very slow to start and it began with Penny's boring little life Then she received a task involving a mag that didn't really make it big in French Rivera and a partner whom she was paired with much to her chagrin Her life as she knew it was changed forever and she gets mixed up with her partner's business Things get dangerous a charming new criminal is introduced life threatening scenes sexual scenes and then the adventure began It took a woman hell to make her realize who she really loved It's a great read definitely worth a look at

  4. Tracy Barrall Tracy Barrall says:

    Penny is passed on the promotion she thought would be hers and is instead sent to France to head up a new titled magazine Although she didn't want to go at first this move turns out to be the most terrifying of her life in ways then she could of dreamed of A good read and hard to put down at one point
