❤️❤️❤️I love Belinda Jones’ books I love her writing and the story she tells I get lost in the book when I am reading it which is what I need right now 5

Though the concept of the story has a lot of potential the book didn't uite live up to my expectationsThe character of Amber is very likeable and well written She has her charming uirks and individuality and of course there is a crucial romantic decision to be madeThe setting is great I don't think there is a better place to read about with this miserable weather we've been having than Tahiti The description of the locations alone make for an interesting readThe boyfriend Hugh didn't really develop as a character in my opinion He is portrayed as a very steady and reliable guy but isn't given depth We don't learn anything about his uirks or likes I feel like he merely functions as a background for Amber's endless doubting and uestioning about which guy to choose The ending is good Without giving anything away I will say that everyone ends up with the person they're supposed to be with which is always satisfying

  6. Alice Rose Alice Rose says:

Wow all I could think of when I read this book is how much I want to go to Tahiti As usual Belinda's descriptions of exotic locations have a way of transforming you there; you can almost imagine you're on a sun drenched beach instead of rainy England well that's where I was when I read this novelAmber is a likeable character; she goes through a bit of inner turmoil in this book and I don't blame her The story centres on her and her friend Felicity while they are on a trip to the island of Tahiti Amber has a boyfriend Hugh but she finds herself unexplainably drawn to another man whilst she is out there The book centres on Amber's visit and then return to England and what happens after that Obviously being a chick lit book we can predict the ending but it's a funny romantic comedy that kept me smiling all the way through

  7. Jennifer Jennifer says:

Standard chick lit which I do enjoy at timesthis got knocked down a star as I saw the twist coming from the earliest possible moment to see the twist comingand I'm not that clever so it must have been ragingly obvious

  8. Cj Cj says:

Paradise Room When Amber Pepper's jeweller boyfriend Hugh asks her to join him on a business trip to the paradise islands of Tahiti she's not keen Amber loves big jumpers and rain She'd rather be pedalling through puddles at home in Oxford than lolling in the gel blue waters of the South Pacific However the prospect of sipping Mai Tais with her long lost friend Felicity is incentive enough to coax her on the twenty hour flightWithin hours of touching down on coral sands the girls venture into a seductive new world of mesmerising music exotic black pearls and sexy strangers And for the first time Amber falls head over flip flops in lust only to receive an unexpected marriage proposalWill she opt for a barefoot beach wedding or cast caution and her coconut bra to the wind No easy decision for a drizzle loving gal when it's ninety degrees in the shade
